Surprisingly though, for a small image-viewing app, Preview has a stunningly poor performance record. It’s a great simple application that packs a robust set of features like markups, virtual signatures, and photo editing. If you delete them, then you are deleting those files - they will be gone. Whenever you view an image or a PDF on your Mac, Preview is the default app to open. The files in the Preview folder, or any folder like it, are files like any other. But typically the apps use these as the default location when you open and save documents, though you may have opened or saved documents elsewhere since you started using the app and it now defaults to the last used location. The following simple steps will help you open your PDF files on Mac using PDFelement. Open groups of files in the same window: Uses one window for each set of files you open in Preview at the same time. Select an option for When opening files: Open all files in one window: Uses one window for all files you open in Preview, no matter when you open them. The name “Preview” just refers to the app Preview, in the same way the folder there called “Keynote” refers to the app Keynote. If you mean the iCloud Drive Preview folder, then this is a folder meant to hold documents created by and for the Preview app.

Of course you can create your own folder with that name anywhere you like, so I’m not 100% certain we are talking about the same thing. There are two basic ways that you, as an administrator, can deploy the OneDrive sync app to Mac users in your organization: Install and set up the OneDrive sync app by following the instructions in Sync files with OneDrive on macOS. The only folder named Preview by default is the one in iCloud Drive.
